A rheumatologist is often the best person to treat and manage ankylosing spondylitis (AS) or non-radiographic axial spondyloarthritis (nr-axSpA). If you have symptoms that suggest AS or nr-axSpA, meet with your primary doctor first who may refer you to a rheumatologist, who can recommend the most appropriate treatment plan.
